End-Cap Communities

End-cap Communities are the most coveted spaces on campus. They feature private sleeping quarters, exceptional views, and roomy shared spaces where the community of 20 students can gather and connect. Ideal for upper division or incoming freshmen, these single bedroom units open to expansive floor-to-ceiling windowed lounges that showcase dazzling mountain views.

Apartments (4 or 8 person)

The Epicenter brings apartment-style living to a premier on-campus location, allowing students to live together as a groups of friends without sacrificing convenience. Both 4- and 8-bedroom units are available primarily for upper division or graduate students. Units feature private bedrooms with bathrooms, and a shared full kitchen and workspace, providing a more intimate setting for residents.

Classic Singles & Doubles

Primarily for incoming freshmen, classic single and double rooms at the Epicenter house one or two people. Residents in these room types share bathrooms, kitchens, and comfortable lounge space with adjacent residents on the floor. This housing style is a traditional option, one that all residents will recognize, and will serve the needs of any student.

Theme-based Communities

We are excited to welcome you and pleased to be able to share our emerging plans for your residential experience. As we launch the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter, we are offering our three initial theme-based communities. Theme-based communities are optional for applicants who have already been invited to live at the Epicenter and provide an opportunity for residents with similar interests to meet and connect with each other. Over time we will be expanding theme-based options as the residential experience at the Epicenter evolves.

Impact Capital Community
The Impact Capital Community invites students to live among peers interested to learn methods that utilize capital to create lasting impact. Students engaged in this community will have an opportunity to explore topics such as venture capital investing in companies that create social or environmental value, outcomes-based financing, and other creative financial structures that create social value.

Health Development Community
Students passionate about engaging in approaches for elevating health are invited to be part of the Health Development Community. Students will be able to join activities centered around exploring and solving complex health issues and their solutions. This community will draw on the vast health and medical expertise of the University of Utah and its partners worldwide.

Interfaith Community
The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter welcomes students of all faiths, spiritual practices, world views, and philosophies from around the world to be part of the Epicenter Interfaith Community. This community provides an opportunity to gather, share, learn, and celebrate each other in an inclusive, respectful setting and to join in service to others. Incorporating an interfaith-based community provides an opportunity for establishing positive relationships and mutual understanding across diverse ways of being and cherished practices. Interfaith Community residents will have opportunities to meaningfully engage and learn about different faiths as a means for educational and spiritual growth and development. Having a formal religion or a belief system is not required for this community. All are welcome who would like to respectfully engage with this community.

The Forum

The forum is a gathering place. It's where Epicenter residents and changemakers across campus come together to collaborate, learn, and engage in innovative programming around being a force for good in the world. It features a café, ample study space, and will host a wide variety of events throughout the year.
