At the Epicenter, the University of Utah’s newest housing facility, students have the opportunity to live, learn, and collaborate alongside other students passionate about social change. Located at the heart of campus, the Epicenter boasts 360 mountain views and offers easy access to classes, dining, recreation, and more. Centered around inclusive, sustainable, and innovative living, the Epicenter offers different housing options to meet the needs of students throughout your academic journey. Room Plans
End-Cap Communities
End-cap Communities are the most coveted spaces on campus. They feature private sleeping quarters, exceptional views, and roomy shared spaces where the community of 20 students can gather and connect. Ideal for upper division or incoming freshmen, these single bedroom units open to expansive floor-to-ceiling windowed lounges that showcase dazzling mountain views. These rooms are approximately 7'4" x 10'4" in size. *Please note that exact room sizes will vary slightly.
Apartments (4 or 8 person)
The Epicenter brings apartment-style living to a premier on-campus location, allowing students to live together as a group of friends without sacrificing convenience. Both 4- and 8-bedroom units are available primarily for upper division or graduate students. Units feature private bedrooms with bathrooms, and a shared full kitchen and workspace, providing a more intimate setting for residents.

Theme-based Communities & Scholarship Opportunity
Theme-based communities at the Epicenter allow students with a shared passion to live together as communities. These residents are housed exclusively in specially designated end-cap communities and enjoy deeper connections with other community members and exclusive access to additional thematic programming. Students who are accepted into the Impact Capital Community, Global Health Community, or Interfaith Community receive a $500 scholarship each semester as part of their active participation in their community. Limited spots are available.
Impact Capital Community
The Impact Capital Community is designed to explore how capital can be a force for good. Want to save the Great Salt Lake? Improve food systems? Reduce economic disparities? All of these are much needed solutions and all require funding – a lot of it. The Impact Capital Community invites students to live among peers interested to learn methods that utilize capital to create lasting impact. More information can be found here.
Global Health Community
Students passionate about engaging in approaches for elevating health are invited to be part of the Global Health Community. Students will be able to join activities centered around exploring and solving complex health issues and their solutions. This community will draw on the vast health and medical expertise of the University of Utah and its partners worldwide. More information can be found here.
Interfaith Community
The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter invites students from all faiths, spiritual practices, worldviews, and philosophies to join the Epicenter Interfaith Community—a welcoming space to gather, learn, and celebrate diversity in an inclusive, respectful setting. This community fosters positive relationships and mutual understanding across various beliefs and practices. Members can engage meaningfully with different faiths, promoting educational and spiritual growth. No formal religion or belief system is required; all who wish to participate respectfully are welcome. More information can be found here.
Health Innovation Community
The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter announces a new themed community for AY 25-26! In partnership with the Center for Medical Innovation (CMI), the Health Innovation Community will focus on creating new solutions and technologies that can transform healthcare delivery and treatment. The Forum
The forum is a gathering place. It's where Epicenter residents and changemakers across campus come together to collaborate, learn, and engage in innovative programming around being a force for good in the world. It features a café, ample study space, and will host a wide variety of events throughout the year.
