Apply to Live at the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter

The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter is home to 778 passionate and motivated students. Applications for the 2025 – 2026 academic year are now live. Here is a simple guide on how you can apply to live at the Epicenter.

 

Steps to Apply to Live at the Epicenter

1. Apply to the University of Utah (if you haven’t already)

The Epicenter is only available to students admitted to the University of Utah so make sure you have applied for admission to the University (if not already enrolled). You may complete an Epicenter Application (step 2 below) even while you await admissions acceptance. Find more information on University campus admissions here.

2. Complete an Epicenter Application

Submit an Epicenter Application. The application can be found on our website here. We strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible so we can assist you as needed and keep you informed of updates and opportunities to become involved with the Epicenter community.

Our priority application deadlines are:

  • January 9, 2025: Priority deadline for upper-division students.
  • April 1, 2025: Priority deadline for incoming first-year students.

3. Submit a general housing application with Housing and Residential Education

In addition, all Epicenter applicants must complete a general housing application with our partners at Housing & Residential Education (HRE). To do this, you must be admitted to the U, submit your enrollment deposit, and have a university identification number (uNID). Learn more about the HRE application and timeline here. Students can complete their HRE application in Housing U via CIS.

This application opens on the following dates:
  • November 4, 2024: Upper-division HRE Housing Application opens.
  • January 14, 2025: First-year Housing Application opens.

4. Notification of Acceptance

Students receive notification if they are accepted to live at the Epicenter and information on next steps on the following dates:

  • January 24, 2025: Notification for upper-division students.
  • April 11, 2025: Notification for first-year students.

5. Choose your room

Room selection for students accepted to live at the Epicenter will take place using the Housing & Residential Education portal at the following times.

  • January 27-February 16, 2025: Room reservations for upper-division students.
  • April 14-25, 2025: Room reservations for first-year students.

6. Move into the Epicenter

Fall Move-In will occur between August 12-15, 2025. Move-In days and times will be assigned based on floor and room number. The Epicenter and HRE teams, as well as teams of move-in volunteers, will be present to welcome you to your new home and help ensure a smooth process for everyone.

7. Become a Changemaker!
