The required application on the Epicenter’s website has a space to request specific roommates, however, roommate selection is optional. While we are able to accommodate most roommate groups, please note that placement is based on availability. Additionally, the end cap communities are co-ed and carefully gender-balanced when full.
Students who need disability accommodations will be able to submit a request to the Center for Disability and Access prior to the deadline to ensure accommodations can be met. Both the Center for Disability and Access and Housing and Residential Education have more information available about housing and disability accessibility and accommodations.
To submit a room change request visit https://www.housing.utah.edu/moving-in-out/room-changes/. This will walk you through the steps on how to submit, as well as when you should or shouldn’t submit a room change request and contact a different office instead. Please note: Room change requests cannot be fulfilled for the first two weeks of every semester to accommodate all students. Room changes cannot be guaranteed based on availability.
Our 4 and 8-person apartments are an extremely popular housing option. While there are no policies prohibiting incoming freshmen from living in these units, they are normally fully filled during upper-division room selection.
The Epicenter is looking for students of all backgrounds dedicated to making a change in their community or globally. We recommend taking time to answer all questions thoroughly and transparently on the application located on the Epicenters website. Be specific about how you'd like to be a changemaker and be your authentic self!
There will be 90+ parking spaces located to the north of the building, including accessible parking.
Our double and single style room options do require residents to purchase a meal plans. However, our end cap communities and apartment style rooms have full kitchen access and do not require a meal plan.
